About Mrs. Green

Mrs. Samantha Green is humbled and honored to serve as the Principal of Villa Rica Middle School. She has 23 years of educational experience, serving over a decade as an Assistant Principal (AP) with various leadership responsibilities including supervision of  Exceptional Children’s programs at the upper elementary, middle and high school levels. Mrs. Green served for 12 years as a math and literature teacher, including 6 years at Villa Rica Middle School. Mrs. Green is a servant leader who believes in building positive and nurturing relationships with students, teachers, staff, families, and the community. She was afforded many opportunities as a student-athlete and as a teacher leader, and she believes in paying it forward by mentoring educators, students, and building leadership capacity in others.

Mrs. Green is a 1993 honor graduate of Bowdon High School, and she earned an academic scholarship, as well as an athletic scholarship to play basketball, at the University of West Georgia (UWG). She earned her bachelor’s  degree with honors, master’s degree, and specialist in middle grades education from the UWG. Additionally, Mrs. Green earned her certification in educational leadership from UWG in 2009, and she is a 2020 graduate of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy.

Mrs. Green is married to Timothy Green, and they have two children, Timothy Lynn and Dru McKenzie.  Mrs. Green enjoys reading, traveling, and  spending time with her family. She also loves to bake Red Velvet cakes, and she loves DIY craft projects. And if you haven’t already heard, she screams “Roll Tide!” every Saturday in the Fall and, of course, during the National Championship Game. Roll Tide!
