Hello VR!! I’ve been a Carroll County resident for the last 14 years. I am originally from New Jersey, where I received my undergraduate degree at Rutgers University. Upon graduation, I have worked as a youth counselor for teenage girls and have also counseled parolees with The NJ State Parole Board. Upon moving to Georgia, I worked as a CPS Investigator for Carroll County DFCS, so working with children has always been a passion. After leaving DFCS to expand my family, I went back to work as a Professional nanny for several years and began substitute teaching full-time throughout the county because of my passion for working with children on a larger scale. I taught 8th grade math and Algebra 1 at Villa Rica Middle School last year, and am so excited to be back this year! I believe that being a teacher is not only imparting education, but being a mentor for the lives you encounter. My husband and I have 4 children ages 17, 14, 12 and 5 and are expecting a new baby girl Wildcat in the Spring. Because of my large family, I am familiar with all of the local schools and faculty throughout Carroll County, and am so excited to join such a wonderful team of educators.
~When not in the classroom, I love to sing, cook, travel, dance, but most of all spend time with my family and the friends that have become family here in Georgia.
