The Anti-Defamation League has designated Villa Rica Middle School as a "No Place for Hate" school for the 2016-2017 school year. The "No Place for Hate" campaign is an ADL initiative that provides schools and communities with a strategic format for battling bias, bullying and hatred, with the end result being long-term solutions for creating and maintaining a positive climate. Villa Rica Middle received its designation by participating in three anti-bias activities this school year, including a hospitality summit for families of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students, the "Imagine a World Without Hate" essay contest and a classroom forum on challenging discrimination in all forms.

The national distinction puts Villa Rica Middle among schools in 21 metropolitan areas across the country that seek to build inclusive and secure communities for children of all backgrounds.
With the "No Place for Hate" moniker, Villa Rica Middle staff and faculty are charged with upholding a clear and concerted message that each and every student has a place to belong.
